Breathwork

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a healing and focused application of the breath that uses the mind body connection to access “the story” and its unresolved issues. The breath serves as the conduit between the conscious and unconscious mind. By purposefully manipulating the breath in a conscious and connected fashion the healing spirit of breath becomes a catalyzing force promoting awareness, transformation and integration. The breath is the animating spirit that neutralizes blocks to your life force energy and subsequently enhances aspects of the body, mind and spirit.
Breathwork initially addresses the practice of breathing. Many people have learned over time to distort their breath. The distortion creates a variety of breathing styles that primarily serve to deflect or repress whatever physical, emotional, and/or mental patterns that may have developed in the past. Bringing a gentle attention back to a free and uninhibited breathing pattern initiates a direct encounter with the blocks and obstacles that have here to fore recapitulated the distorted breathing pattern. As a result, the breath brings a release and an opportunity for healing and new decisions.
Breathwork is an empowering process that facilitates clients in exploring new levels of personal expression, purposefulness and interpersonal communication within relationships. With the freeing of the breath new levels of creativity, performance and personal growth are aroused leading to a new way of being. Clients report repeatedly that they have experienced “soul level” work; feel closer to their spiritual connection and with a renewed spiritual purpose.
